The agreement recorded for membership

Your membership agreement is with Avallach Technology (ABN 37 177 187 798), the operator of Runners Gateway Network.

By activating membership, you confirm that you have read and accepted the Terms version shown during activation. The membership Terms and dated notices remain available in full below. This guide explains the current service without replacing that agreement or recording new acceptance. Browsing public pages and completing the Weekly Quiz do not require membership or acceptance of membership Terms.

RGN brings together public guidance and plan reading, personal Training, Monthly Focus, Pathway progress, the Weekly Quiz, Run Cards, Journey and member discovery. Some features require active membership or eligible Training access. The choices and access shown for each feature apply.

Membership and your sign-in

Membership is currently for adults aged 18 or over. By joining, you confirm that you meet this requirement and provide accurate information. Do not create a membership for someone under 18 or ask another person to create one on their behalf.

Joining does not automatically publish a profile, follow someone, enrol you in a programme or expose another service’s private content. Existing Training and Monthly Focus records can be used through the established shared services described in the Training continuity notice and Privacy notice.

Keep your password private and contact us promptly if someone else may have accessed your account. You are responsible for activity through your account unless it results from an RGN failure you could not reasonably prevent.

Guidance, plans and your judgement

Pathway guidance, Monthly Focus prompts and Training plans support your own decisions. A plan is an editable starting point, not medical advice, an individual professional assessment or a performance guarantee.

Use your judgement about what suits your circumstances and seek appropriate professional advice for health, injury or suitability concerns. Your progress belongs to you; an ordinary missed session is part of your record.

A published plan template is separate from your personal plan and progress. Describing yourself as a coach on a Run Card does not grant access to anyone else’s private records. Coaching descriptions are self-declared, not verification or endorsement of qualifications by RGN. Professional coaching tools and Run Coach Run integration are not currently offered through RGN.

Your Run Card and public profile

You may add optional personal and coaching descriptions, interests, external links and a photo. Your Run Card stays unpublished until you choose to publish it. Publishing makes your name, handle and completed public fields visible to anyone at the public address and may allow search engines to index them.

Add only information, photos and links you have the right to use. Your handle becomes permanent when first published. You can unpublish later, but RGN cannot recall copies already saved or indexed elsewhere. A previously public handle is reserved without attribution after membership closure to prevent reuse for impersonation.

RGN does not connect to, import from or verify parkrun, Strava, Garmin, Runs of the World or a general website added to your profile. Their own terms and privacy practices apply when you follow those links.

Explore, Following and friendship

Active members can use Explore to find runners, walkers and people who describe their coaching. Fictional demo profiles are labelled.

Appearing in Explore requires a published profile and a separate choice to share discovery details with all RGN members. Earlier preview consent is not carried forward to that audience. Leaving Explore does not unpublish your direct profile. Unpublishing removes Explore visibility; publishing again does not restore it automatically.

Following is one-way. Friendship requires acceptance by both people. Neither Following nor friendship gives access beyond the audience chosen for an entry. Blocking ends the related access immediately.

Your Journey and contributions

Your Journey stays Private until you choose its visibility. Your choice of Private, mutually accepted Friends, signed-in Members or Public covers existing and future entries, their details and Home appearances. Earlier owner-only check-ins stay owner-only.

An eligible Training completion, Monthly Focus check-in, saved Quiz or Pathway milestone may add an entry automatically. New Training cards include controlled activity and planned-workout facts, without maps, activity links or private notes. Other source notes, reflections, Quiz answers and scores stay private. Historical entries are not enriched with newly available source information.

You can add your own words or remove an entry. People with access may offer Encouragement, and signed-in members can comment. Comments retain their posting-time audience as a ceiling: widening your Journey cannot silently broaden another person’s comment. Authors can remove their comments after entry access ends.

You retain rights in the words and images you contribute. RGN stores your contributions to provide the features you use and displays them according to the audiences you choose. The Privacy notice explains the existing access, removal and retention controls; this explanation does not grant a new licence to your content.

Only share content you have the right to share, and respect other people’s privacy. Public entries may be copied or indexed, and RGN cannot recall copies made while they were public. Friendship removal, blocking and audience restrictions end the relevant access.

Training links and external services

Personal Training source records stay private. New personal sharing links, replacements, renewal and disclosure changes are unavailable. Previously issued read-only plan and session links keep their existing information, access and expiry; anyone who has an active link can view it. Owners can stop those links through Previously shared links.

Previously issued external links are independent of your journal. Stopping a session link does not edit your journal, and removing a journal entry does not stop an independent link. Integrated session links are withdrawn when their source is undone or deleted, or RGN membership closes. Retained legacy plan links keep their own controls; review and stop those links separately.

Activity links, remote previews, external websites and sharing tools involve other services. RGN does not control those services or their content. See the Training continuity notice for activity-preview, export and shared-record details.

Quiz and saved results

The Weekly Quiz is for enjoyment and running knowledge. It is not a competition, qualification, professional assessment or independently verified record.

After the full result appears, RGN saves the first result for an active signed-in member. Other visitors may choose to save it. One result is kept per edition; a later result replaces it only after you confirm. The no-JavaScript public fallback lets you play without saving a history record.

Facts and sources can need correction as information changes. RGN may correct an edition and will identify a material correction in the answer review where appropriate. Sharing sends an invitation and edition link without your score, questions or answers.

Using RGN with care

When using RGN, do not:

• break the law, encourage unlawful activity or share abusive, misleading or privacy-invasive material;
• use someone else’s account or misrepresent who you are;
• interfere with security, the service or another person’s access;
• use scraping or automated requests that put an unreasonable load on RGN; or
• copy or commercially exploit RGN content unless the law or separate written permission allows it.

You can block another member or confidentially report visible content. RGN may hide or remove reported content to protect people or operate the service responsibly. Reporters’ identities are not given to content authors or Community stewards.

The RGN name, design and original content belong to the operator or relevant rights holder. Ordinary personal use does not transfer those rights.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep RGN accurate, secure and available. Internet services can experience maintenance, delay or failure. We may correct, improve, limit or withdraw a feature to protect customers, keep information accurate or operate responsibly.

The accepted Account Terms explain that a material change will have an updated date and version, and RGN will ask clearly where continued membership needs new acceptance. Unrelated public browsing is not treated as agreement.

Closing your RGN membership

You can request closure from Account after confirming the action. Public profile and Explore access end as closure starts. The account lifecycle removes RGN membership details, profile and photo, private RGN Quiz history, Journey identity and owned content, RGN Pathway completion-history records and relevant RGN participation identity. A previously public handle remains only as a non-attributed reserved name.

RGN reports the membership closed only after the private photo is confirmed deleted. If confirmation is temporarily unavailable, membership remains locked for a safe retry and is not treated as closed.

Closing RGN does not delete your shared Runners Gateway sign-in or the shared records used by established services. Existing Pathway enrolments and lesson progress, Monthly Focus enrolments and check-ins, and Training plans, sessions, share records, access grant and linked waitlist record remain. Issued Training links are not revoked by RGN closure.

Download your export and review shared links before closing. Contact us for help with shared-service records or shared-identity deletion. The Privacy notice explains these boundaries in more detail.

Privacy and your choices

The Privacy notice explains what RGN handles, why, who can see it, essential storage, service providers, and access, correction, export and closure choices.

Your email, account details and saved Quiz history are not public. Publishing a Run Card, joining Explore and choosing a Journey audience are separate decisions. Shared Training links have their own included-information choices.

Earlier Community participation

The earlier Runners Gateway Community experience is paused. The historical notice below describes its earlier participation rules; it does not mean Community joining is currently available. Existing records retain their relevant access, export and closure rules.

Journey and Explore provide the current personal sharing and connection experience. An optional Facebook group is a separate service with its own terms. RGN does not automatically post to Facebook, and Facebook participation is not required for RGN membership.

Your rights and contact

Nothing in the accepted Account Terms excludes a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, RGN is not responsible for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control or use contrary to the accepted Account Terms.

Membership agreement & dates

Membership activation records acceptance of the 25 August 2026 Terms. Your account keeps the version recorded when you joined. Those membership Terms and the separately dated service notices are preserved below. This guide explains current features without replacing your agreement or recording a new acceptance.

The retained notices include the Journey clarification of 3 October 2026, Explore clarification of 12 September 2026, Community clarification of 10 September 2026 and previous Explore preview notice of 27 August 2026. The Community and closed-preview descriptions are historical; they do not mean those experiences are available now.
